Healing Racism in Anchorage is governed by a Steering Committee up to 13 people. Officers include a Chair of Record, a Recording Secretary (a rotating position) and a Treasurer. Decisions are made by consensus. The organization has no paid staff.

To be eligible to serve on the Steering Committee, individuals must be members of HRA and must have attended a nine-week discussion group.

Steering Committee meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at BP Exploration, 900 East Benson Boulevard, first floor conference room. The public is welcome. Meetings are potlucks and run promptly from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
